MAssage For Headaches
I’m Alyssa, a fellow headache sufferer and Licensed Massage Therapist in Knoxville, Tennessee.
I use gentle, manual techniques to help my clients manage chronic pain that stems from headaches, migraines, and TMJ dysfunction. If you’re looking for a low risk, non-invasive therapy to complement your current headache treatments, you’ve come to the right place.
Not Just A Massage
-
Your first appointment will start off with an in-depth overview of your headache history to understand your common triggers, headache symptoms, past and present treatments, and goals. We’ll also conduct a short physical assessment to locate muscle imbalances that may be contributing to pain.
-
Headaches are complicated. They come in all shapes and sizes and sometimes a one-size-fits-all massage just doesn’t cut it. If you’re looking for specialized massage for your tension headaches, post traumatic headaches, migraines, TMJD pain, sinus headaches, or cluster headaches, I’ve got your back.
-
Your body is unique and deserves an individualized plan to tackle pain and relax the nervous system. In this clinic, you can expect a blend of relaxing, Swedish massage with a variety of advanced manual techniques like intraoral massage, deep tissue therapy, and more to help manage and reduce your chronic pain.
-
We’re a headache-friendly hideaway. Expect dim lighting, soft music, and an absence of strong fragrances when you walk into the studio.

I know how hard it is to be an advocate for your own health while dealing with chronic pain. Whether you need concentrated therapeutic attention or just a safe space to relax and be heard, you can find that here.
Specific needs call for specific care. Here’s what you can expect at my headache-focused practice.
